Three days ago I came from Orlando to Atlanta by car. It was a long but pleasant trip. In Ocala, a town near Orlando, live a close friend of my parents. My parents hadn’t seen him long time ago because he moved to the United States. Ocala is about one hour from Orlando, so on our way to Atlanta we stopped in his house. He has a farm over there and his house is in the farm. The farm is really nice. He works in his farm because he works with horses. My parents were very glad to see him and to see how happy he is with his wife and his work. He loves horses. That’s the reason why he wants to work with them. We stayed in his house for about 4 hours.
When we leaved Ocala was about 4:30 in the afternoon and we had 5 hours of trip from there. I can’t tell much of the trip because I slept almost all the time. When we got to Atlanta it was amazing because you saw the sky and you saw like a million of lights. The lights were airplanes, I was so amazed. I asked my brother why there were so many airplanes in the sky and he answered me that the airport of Atlanta was one of the busiest airports in the world. The Atlanta International Airport is huge, is the biggest airport in the United States.
Today we went to a mall in Kennesaw, a little town in Atlanta. My brother, Pipe, lives in Kennesaw. Kennesaw is a nice town and it isn’t like those towns that you go out and you don’t see even one car. It is like a little busy city. Also it is a town were students live. About most of its population are students.
In the mall that I was today I didn’t found many clothes for the climate of Cartagena. In all the stores right now you found clothes for cold climate because winter is about to begin. Today I was in Claire’s buying some earrings. While I was choosing the earrings there was a little girl with her mom. That little girl was there to make the opening for the earrings. She was crying very much. Today I learned one thing. I learned that here, people doesn’t do the piercing for the earrings when girls are babies, instead they do them when they are a little bit older and that is a big event in the family.
